Terms of Service

1. The service

RigCheck helps motor carriers run photo-verified pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs), document vehicle damage, and manage roadside inspection reports. It includes a driver app, a web dashboard, Telegram reminders and automated photo checks ("RigCheck AI").

We may improve or change features over time. If we remove a feature you rely on in a way that materially reduces the service, you may cancel and we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.

2. Your responsibilities under DOT rules

RigCheck is a tool. You and your drivers remain responsible for inspecting vehicles, completing and keeping DVIRs, repairing defects and meeting all requirements of 49 CFR Parts 390–396 and state law.

RigCheck AI findings are suggestions for your staff to confirm. The AI can miss defects and can be wrong. Never put a vehicle into service, or take it out of service, based only on an AI result.

3. Accounts and drivers

The person who creates the company account confirms they are authorized to bind the company. You are responsible for everyone you give access to, including drivers, managers and mechanics, and for keeping logins and PINs private.

Tell us right away at the support contact below if you believe an account has been compromised.

4. Plans, billing and trials

Pricing is per active truck per month, at the price for your fleet size shown on our website at the time you subscribe, unless we agreed a different price in writing. New companies get a free trial. When it ends, the subscription starts if a payment method is on file; otherwise access to new inspections pauses until you subscribe.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law or stated in these terms. Prices exclude taxes, which you pay where applicable.

If a payment fails we will retry and notify you. After 14 days unpaid we may pause the account until it is brought current.

5. Your data

You own the data you and your drivers put into RigCheck, including photos, inspection records, voice messages and fleet lists ("Customer Data"). You give us permission to store, process and display Customer Data only to provide and improve the service for you, to keep it secure and to comply with law.

We do not sell Customer Data and do not use it for advertising. We may use de-identified, aggregated statistics (for example, average inspection times) to improve the service.

You can export your inspection records at any time. After your account is closed we keep Customer Data for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it within 90 days, except copies we must keep by law.

6. Acceptable use and content moderation

Use RigCheck only for inspecting and managing commercial vehicles. Do not upload content that is unlawful, that infringes others' rights, that shows nudity, graphic violence or hate symbols, or that has nothing to do with vehicle inspections. Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, get around rate limits, or access other companies' data.

We automatically screen uploaded photos and may hide or remove content that breaks these rules, limit requests that look abusive, and suspend accounts involved in serious or repeated violations. We will tell you when we take action on your account unless the law or security prevents it.

7. Third-party services

RigCheck relies on trusted providers to run: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Anthropic (RigCheck AI photo checks), OpenAI (writing out voice messages), Stripe (payments), Telegram (messages) and FMCSA public data. Their processing is covered by our Privacy Policy. Telegram and your ELD provider are used only if you connect them.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep RigCheck available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The driver app saves inspections on the phone and uploads them when it can. Support is available on Telegram and by email.

9. Warranties and liability

Except as stated in these terms, the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the AI will detect every defect.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You will defend us against claims arising from your vehicles' operation, your use of the service in breach of these terms, or content you upload, and we will defend you against claims that the service itself infringes someone's intellectual property.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop using RigCheck and cancel at any time. We may end or suspend the service for serious breach of these terms, non-payment as described above, or if required by law. Sections 5, 9 and 11 survive termination.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, and the parties agree to the courts located in Ohio for any dispute. If any part is unenforceable the rest still applies. We may update these terms; for material changes we will notify account owners at least 30 days in advance, and continued use after that means you accept them.
